Competitive Bidding
Online via Zoom on April 18 - May 2 at 1:00 PM ET (Tuesdays)
What does it mean when we bid the opponent's suit in a competitive auction? This is a "cue bid," and is used to convey unique info to partner. In this 3-part series, I will show you how to send and receive these special messages.
- Week 1: The Cue Bid Raise (supporting partner's suit with a strong hand).
- Week 2: Cue Bids to discover if your side can get to 3NT (sometimes called Western Cue). Also: cue bids looking for slam!
- Week 3: Michaels Cue Bid (and Unusual 2NT). During the lessons, you will have lots of practice bidding with a partner; singles are welcome and will be paired up in class.
Singles are welcome and will be matched with partners in class.
Students bid and play hands in class using our fabulous online classroom, Shark Bridge. It's easy and fun!
